TheBenchmade 112SBK-BLK is a professional dive knife with enhanced corrosion resistance, which was developed for the US Navy program.

Special purpose

TheBenchmade 112SBK-BLK has a full-tang (full bolt)construction, which means it is made from a single piece of steel. The 89mm long head has a specialized Opposing Bevel profile, which features 4 zones for different purposes:

• a hook for cutting nets and cables,
• serrated blade for fibrous materials,
• a smooth blade,
• a safety stab with a flat end.

The blade covered with a protective layer of Teflon at its widest point is 3 mm thick. Such parameters guarantee high functionality, durability and reliability of the knife, so it can be used in harsh underwater environments.

Excellent corrosion resistance

Theknife is made of Bohler N680 chrome-molybdenum steel with exceptional resistance to rusting. Hardened to a hardness of 58-60 HRC, the steel has a high nitrogen content (0.20%) in its composition, which significantly increases resistance to corrosion.

The blade of such steel is resistant to wear, retains sharpness for a long time and is relatively easy to sharpen. Austrian N680 steel is an economical alternative to H1 steel with much better cutting edge retention.

Comfortable grip

Theknife's handle is made of rubberized santoprene plastic with non-slip texturing for a good grip even when wearing gloves. Molded finger cutouts and a cord clip add to the knife's safety and comfort.

Locking sheath

A polymer sheath with a locking mechanism attached to a PFD clip is included.
