In 2013, the passenger transport conditions for air travel in the U.S. were to be relaxed, which would have made knives like the Roadie legal on board (in hand luggage). However, due to pressure from the US pilots' union, this relaxation did not come about after all. Nevertheless, the Spyderco Roadie is an interesting little pen knife, which is also a useful companion outside of an airplane. The Roadie is now available in 7 different colors: red, orange, gray, dark blue, black, brown, olive green
