The 120mm long blade is made of 440A stainless steel. The 440CA steel blade will perform well in everyday use due to its resistance to corrosion, good sharpness retention and ease of sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is completely sufficient.
Tactical style
The massive blade with a utilitarian spear-point profile has a striking black finish, which emphasizes the tactical knife. Thanks to the use of a sturdy stock, a concave grind and a cutting edge with a gentle curve, the knife has good cutting properties.
The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 4.5 mm, so the knife can also be used for heavier camp work.
A false blade is used on the back of the blade, which increases the penetrating properties of the tip. Operating the knife is facilitated by a transverse milling on the back, which allows the thumb to rest steadily while cutting.
Lightweight handle
The Walther BackUp has a handle made of durable polymer. The contoured shape of the handle and aggressive texturing make the knife feel secure in the hand and comfortable to use.
The grip has an undercut for the index finger and a hilt that prevents injury to the blade. A hole has been made in the handle for attaching a decorative paracord braid, which are very popular among most knife owners.
Polymer sheath
A polymer sheath (tek-lok compatible) was used to carry the knife, which can be attached to the belt in two positions (vertical and horizontal). To change the position of the sheath, all you have to do is unscrew 4 screws and reposition the mount.
