Garberg is a camp knife with a fixed full-tang head, which means that the fixed was made from a single piece of steel. Such a design, combined with a 3.2 mm thick head, creates an uncompromising tool with tremendous strength, thanks to which the Garberg, in addition to efficient cutting, can also be used for chopping wood, batoning and undermining.
The head, which has an optimal working length (109 mm), has a usable drop-point profile and a traditional Scandinavian grind, featuring very good cutting properties.
The Scandinavian grind has another great advantage, its high cutting edge allows for fairly instinctive sharpening, so even less experienced people can handle the process.
The knife is made of the prized Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, which, thanks to the admixture of nitrogen, has increased corrosion resistance and high hardness. The Swedish stainless holds sharpness well, and is also quite easy to sharpen, making it ideal for field use.
The handle is made of durable polyamide, resistant to weather conditions and active chemicals. The profiled shape of the grip and the checkering provide high grip, and comfort.
A section of the shank protrudes from the handle, which can serve as an improvised hammer, glass breaker or magnesia scraper. The grip does not have a typical hilt, but thanks to the appropriate profiling there is no fear of your hand slipping on the blade.
To carry the knife on the belt there is a classic sheath made of thick grain leather. When the knife is tucked into the sheath, it is almost entirely covered by a fastened patch.
