The Benchmade 275GY-1 Adamas is a modernized version of the Adamas tactical knife , designed by the acclaimed knifemaker Shane Sibert. Model with blade finish in Tungsten color and black G10 cladding.
The choice of professionals
After the modernization, the Benchmade 275GY-1 Adamas uses an ultra-hard CPM-CruWear steel blade , G10 laminate cladding and a proven axis lock . Thanks to this design, the knife is popular among soldiers, uniformed services officers and users looking for a handy tool with a durable and reliable construction.
CPM-Cruwear - new generation steel
The newest tool steel Crucible Industries LLC - CPM-Cruwear hardened to a hardness of 63-65 HRC was used for the construction of the blade . Thanks to its excellent abrasion resistance and strength, CPM-Cruwear can be described as a steel with twice the performance of the original D2 steel.
The new formula was enriched with additives of vanadium, tungsten and molybdenum, which give the steel exceptional wear resistance and allow for high hardening .
When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and ineffective.
Armored blade
The wide drop-point blade , 96 mm long, is covered with a brown cerakote coating , which protects against minor scratches and emphasizes the tactical nature of the knife. The blade has a strong point and a flat cut, which guarantees a smooth cut and easy penetration. The blade at its widest point is 3.5 mm thick.
The back section of the spine was raised and transverse cutters were made on it, allowing for a stable finger support during work. Such parameters guarantee the functionality and durability of the knives and make them suitable for demanding tasks.
Convenient unfolding
The blade can be conveniently and quickly unfolded with one hand using a double-sided pin , which is convenient for right and left-handed people.
Reliable lock
The flagship Benchmade mechanism, a double-sided Axis-lock blockade , is responsible for work safety , valued for its great mechanical strength, resistance to dirt and ease of use for right and left-handed users.
Massive handle
Benchmade 275FE-2 Adamas has Tungsten (steel gray) cladding in G10 made of precise 3D technique. The glass-epoxy laminate used is characterized by low weight, high mechanical strength, resistance to water, temperature changes, and the action of many acids and solvents. The contoured shape in combination with the transverse milling and rough texture of the material provide excellent grip of the knife and comfort in use. The semi-open handle design makes it easy to keep the knife clean.
Interchangeable clip
Discreet carrying of the knife in a pocket is possible thanks to a high-mounted clip that can be mounted on both sides of the handle.
