Benchmade Triage 917 has a blade made of the best S30V stainless steel, with an optimal hardness of 58-60 HRC. The blade can be easily unfolded with one hand, thanks to a double-sided peg. The drop point profile head measures 88 mm. These are optimal parameters for an everyday knife and for most tasks that may be encountered in the work of uniformed and rescue services. Responsible for the safety and secure locking of the blade, is the Axis Lock system developed by Benchmade. The lock is resistant to dynamic load, contamination, it also provides comfortable operation for both right and left-handed people.
TheBenchmade Triage 917 is additionally equipped with a folding hooked blade made of 440C steel. This type of hooks, is a rescue tool designed to safely cut car belts, webbing and clothing. Another rescue element is a sharp carbide spike, which acts as an emergency glass breaker. Textured G10 plastic liners are attached to steel spacers, increasing the rigidity and strength of the knife's construction.
