TheBenchmade 550-S30V Griptilian , in a new design, has been equipped with a head made of CPM-S30V steel, widely considered, the best stainless steel on the market.
The Benchmade 550-S30V has a usable sheepsfoot head with a high flat grind. The blade is made of American CPM-S30V stainless steel hardened to 58-60 HRC. The shape of the head, the type of grind and the quality of the steel used mean that the blade maintains excellent working sharpness for a long time and has outstanding cutting properties. The hole in the blade allows right- and left-handed people to unfold the blade comfortably with one hand.
A section of the blade's back has been raised and grooved, thus creating a stable point of support for the fingers when precisely guiding the blade.
